In Walk The Elected

Poem written about those elected into power on the opening day of Parliament

In walk the elected, a grand parade,
Dickhead march, their intellects mislaid.
Dunce caps adorned, a proud display,
A carnival of gobshites, who day by day.
bemuse with vacant stares and minds so hollow
making up schemes they want us to follow.
Wisdom eludes them like a fleeting muse,
In the political marathon, they never lose.
They bumble through conversations, oh so trite,
Their logic tangled and talking shite.
Common sense, a very distant notion
In the kingdom of fools there’s total devotion
to missteps and blunders, their daily chore,
a symphony of ignorance, encore after encore.
Yet, in their ignorance, a strange delight,
As they dance through life, oblivious to insight.
Oh, the idiots' anthem, a cacophony grand,
In the land of cluelessness, where they proudly stand.
